The owners of this block of three boutique units live overseas, and the top floor unit serves as their holiday home. They were keen to add another floor within the roof space, in order to create space for their children.

A mansard roof design was proposed, in order to have minimal impact from the streetscape, and to maintain views of the ocean for nearby residents.

The kitchen/dining/living areas were moved to the upper floor, in order to create an additional master bedroom on the floor below.
